Although, initially a bit disappointed that one of my favorite characters from Tessa Dare’s Spindle Cove series—Diana Highwood—would finally be getting her own story in novella form versus the super-sized version, BEAUTY AND THE BLACKSMITH was surprisingly satisfying without all the additional pages.

“At last, Diana gets a romance of her own! But with the last man anyone in Spindle Cove expects…

Beautiful and elegant, Miss Diana Highwood is destined to marry a wealthy, well-placed nobleman. At least, that’s what her mother has loudly declared to everyone in Spindle Cove.

But Diana’s not excited by dukes and lords. The only man who makes her heart pound is the village blacksmith, Aaron Dawes. By birth and fortune, they couldn’t be more wrong for each other…but during stolen, steamy moments in his forge, his strong hands feel so right.

Is their love forged strong enough to last, or are they just playing with fire?”

Diana and Aaron’s story was incredibly sweet…

Diana and Aaron’s story was incredibly sweet and it was simply wonderful for a fan of this series to finally see the Highwood beauty come into her own.

I laughed out loud. Grew misty-eyed and literally cheered “YES!” at one point—thank goodness my husband is a sound sleeper. You can’t get any better than that.

Look for the Spindle Cove goodness to continue on May 28th, when our favorite barmaid Pauline manages to land an honest to goodness Duke in ANY DUCHESS WILL DO. Coming from Tessa Dare, it has to be good.
