Shawntelle Madison’s latest, BITTER DISENCHANTMENT, a Coveted novella, proves that being born into a family of werewolves isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, especially for Agatha McClure.

Werewolf Natalya Stravinsky’s outspoken sidekick, Aggie McClure, is featured in this prequel novella. Before Agatha set foot in South Toms River, New Jersey, she had the fight of her life to face. Destined to be the alpha female over her Manhattan pack, Aggie was fully prepared to take on her role until her father arranges a marriage without her consent. She wants out–but the only way is with money–something her new controlling husband won’t give her to escape. But such odds never kept a wolf like Aggie down. To sever the twisted tie, she finds herself pitted against raging wood nymphs and backstabbing brownies in an underground supernatural fighting ring. With every victory, the sweet taste of freedom is closer, but her husband isn’t willing to let her go that easily. Until the very end, Aggie must fight for the one thing she’s never had: a choice.

Agatha, daughter of the pack leader, should have been born a man.  Her father would have been so proud of having a son to take the role of pack leader.

…momentarily live in that fantasy world that is at your fingertips.

Victor Preshing is her husband.  Their marriage was arranged by her Victor and her father.  Soon Agatha realizes her husband only married her to better himself; he never loved Agatha.

To take control of her life again Agatha must enter the underworld of fighting to earn money and her freedom from Victor and her controlling family.

This is a story of deceit, sacrifice, betrayal, survival, and regaining one’s freedom to create a new life for herself. If you like a world of wolves, harpies, fairies, witches, and nymphs then this is the book for you.  It’s a fast-paced novella that allows you to momentarily live in that fantasy world that is at your fingertips.   I would recommend this novella because it is a quick read and allowed me to fantasize about the world of wolves and other creatures. There’s a preview of a bonus story.  I am excited about reading the next installment!
