Another positively delightful story from the imaginative heart and mind of Miranda Neville arrived on the bookshelves recently in the form of “The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton”; the third installment in her wonderful “Burgundy Club” series.

“Being kidnapped teaches Miss Celia Seaton a few things about life
LESSON ONE
Never disrobe in front of a gentleman … unless his request comes at gunpoint.
LESSON TWO
If, when lost on the moors, you encounter Tarquin Compton, the leader of London society who ruined your marriage prospects, deny any previous acquaintance.
LESSON THREE
If offered an opportunity to get back at Mr. Compton, the bigger the lie, the better. A faux engagement should do nicely.
LESSON FOUR
Not all knowledge is found between the covers of a book. But an improper book may further your education in ways you never guessed.
And while an erotic novel may be entertaining,
the real thing is even better”

The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton

We’ve all heard the phrase, “With great power comes great responsibility” and among the elite set of London society Mr. Tarquin Compton has the power to make or break a lady’s reputation with a few simple words. In Miss Celia Seaton’s case, that word is “Cauliflower”.

After being compared to that most noble but, rather bland vegetable her hopes of making a secure marriage are dashed and when the opportunity rises to get a spot of revenge, the wily Miss Seaton comes up with the ultimate fish story when she finds a memory challenged Mr. Compton floundering on her kidnapper’s doorstep.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long before Celia finds herself caught in a net of her own making as she begins to fall for the revised version of her nemesis as they must work together to unravel the mystery of her kidnapping.
You will simply have to read the book to find out how this unlikely couple resolve the mystery and evolve past the differences that threaten to tear them apart and believe me, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Neville’s genius shines through from the very first page to last giving us characters we will never forget, conflicts that keep you on the edge of your seat and humor that will make your cheeks sore from smiling.

Although Celia and Tarquin’s story is wonderfully self-contained, I cannot recommend enough that you also read the previous installments of the series, as they are just as wonderful and entertaining as this one.
