Few spin a wittier or romantic-er tale than Teresa Medeiros, as proven once again with her newest release THE DEVIL WEARS PLAID.

AN INNOCENT WOMAN

Emmaline Marlow is about to wed the extremely powerful laird of the Hepburn clan to save her father from debtor’s prison when ruffian Jamie Sinclair bursts into the abbey on a magnificent black horse and abducts her in one strong swoop. Though he is Hepburn’s sworn enemy, Emma’s mysterious captor is everything her bridegroom is not–handsome, virile, dangerous…and a perilous temptation for her yearning heart.

A DANGEROUS MAN

Jamie expects Emma to be some milksop English miss, not a fiery, defiant beauty whose irresistible charms will tempt him at every turn. But he cannot allow either one of them to forget he is her enemy and she his pawn in the deadly Highland feud between the clans. Stealing his enemy’s bride was simple, but can he claim her innocence without losing his heart?”

In a case of, “be careful what you wish for…” Emma never imagines that rescue from an undesirable groom would come in the form of a dramatic kidnapping during the wedding ceremony by a bold, highland rogue bent on revenge. Tossed like a sack of potatoes on a horse’s back for a wild ride into the mountains leaves her less than grateful for the intervention that saves her and planning a little sweet revenge of her own by escaping at the first opportunity.

Filled with more than its fair share of dramatic twists, turns and revelations…

It doesn’t take long for Jamie to figure out that the biggest flaw in his plans comes from assuming that Emma is just another timid, English rose who will come along quietly and not cause a moments trouble out of fear for her life and virtue. The little minx manages to slip beneath his guard time and time again, in more ways than one until he begins to realize that the hardest part of his plan will be letting her go.

Filled with more than its fair share of dramatic twists, turns and revelations, Emma and Jamie’s story tugs at your heart strings, fires your pulse and tickles your funny bone page after page.

Teresa Medeiros has a way of writing that taps into your imagination making it easy to create a visual rendering in your mind—a mini movie of sorts, of the story being told on the page. You can hear the laughter, visualize every emotional tick on the characters faces and feel every rush of joy or dramatic plunge to sadness, as if you were right there witnessing it yourself.

Keep your eyes peeled this spring for the arrival of Teresa’s very modern GOODNIGHT TWEETHEART: A LOVE STORY IN 140 CHARACTERS about a couple finding their perfect someone by answering the question “What’s Happening?” on Twitter.
