Review

JESSE; the third and final novel in C.H. Admirand’s popular The Secret Life of Cowboys series, is a sweet slice of down home romance that’s equal parts sugar and spice.

“Loneliness will take a man places…

Jesse Garahan has plenty of Irish charm but having had his heart demolished twice, he’s sworn off women forever. Until the fateful day he meets Danielle Brockway and her tiny daughter Lacy on their way to their new home in Pleasure, Texas.

But there may be places he doesn’t want to go…

Fiercely protective of her little girl, Danielle isn’t about to let Jesse get anywhere close to hurt either of them, no matter how much longing she sees I his eyes…”

…full of the genuine warmth and humor of small town life…

The phrase “Once bitten, twice-shy” is apropos for both Jesse and Danielle. Fortunately for these two they have a little pink angel, in the form of Danielle’s daughter Lacy to bring them together. The love that grows between Jesse and Lacy is so endearing, that even a woman as determined to avoid heartache again as Danielle is, cannot help but begin to believe that second chances are possible.

Like the other books in this series, JESSE is full of the genuine warmth and humor of small town life and romance complicated only by the every day obstacles and insecurities that plague all of us. Jesse and Danielle’s journey to find love and form a family is inspiring and completely charming from beginning to end.
